I am currently looking at going to school for music but I have no clue of any colleges besides Julie Ard for that. I also am looking at schools for theatre which is performing arts too. I am pretty much looking at schoools in the U.S. and in Italy but I am also looking for schools that are the best around the world. Please help me.
Juilliard, NYU, and Eastman are great music schools in NYC.
Cincinnati Conservatory of Music is great for theatre and musical theatre.
Carnegie Mellon is in Pennsylvania, very good program.
Indiana University is a great opera school, so is the University of North Texas.
Northwestern is a strong theatre program just north of Chicago.
UCLA has a pretty good music program.
AMDA is a scam…. they allow some really shitty people in.

Many people want to escape from their cubicle-style careers and make a living in performing arts, whether it’s acting or music or dance. But when you are old, serious schools refuse to admit you and schools that do admit are not usually serious. Is there a chance for a late-comer to make a name-and a living-out of performing arts? Please give examples. Peace out, love y’all.
I think so. First you could try some modelling agencies, they are always looking for people, old or young. If you are any good at writing music you could try writing jingles and submit them to advertising agencies.
Also, joining local Amateur Theatrical Groups in your local area is a way to start. And going to some kind of dance or singing classes.
If you are in an area where they make films, look for jobs as an extra on site. You may get noticed.
Off the cuff I can’t think of any big names, but there are definitely some stars out there who only made it later in life.
It’s never too late. Peace back to you. And good luck!

What are the top performing mutual funds in India today. Can you please elaborate since i am new to mutual funds and am thinking of investing in one. Also, what type of fund (balanced/equity) would be best suited for a newbie?
Reliance Vision Fund would be a good bet. In general equity funds give better return than balanced fund, but it is never a good idea to invest in one type of fund only your portfolio should be a balanced one reflecting your risk taking ability.

I wanna be a professional musician when i grow up. I want to go to music school. What are the "ivy league" schools of music? in other words, wat are those few schools that are the best for music or the arts?
however, i dont just want to learn how to perform music, i want to learn about the business of it too, like producing, copyrighting, selling cds, running a studio, etc… what are the best schools for that?
and are there music schools that teach both performing arts and the business of music? if so, wat are the best schools for that?
Julliard is one of the more famous schools and better schools to go to.
I have an oral presentation due soon that requires us to research and present a form of performing art. I was thinking of doing poetry. Can someone help me out with this? Or any other *interesting* suggestions of a performing art?
Back in ancient Greece poetry recitation was a competetive performance art that could earn prizes comparable to the awards won by olympic atheletes. In the 60s, beat poets performed poetry, including important authors such as Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs. Today poetry recitation is a performance art in forensics teams in high schools, and you’ll often see poets performing in coffee shops and stuff.
To me poetry recitation is like playing an instrument, where you take some ink on paper and you bring it to life so that everyone can enjoy it. I mean, writing poetry is an art as writing music is, but the oral interpretation adds a whole extra level to the experience.
